A solo design show with renowned designer, Mark Brazier-Jones, accompanied by a group of artworks featuring Mario Vélez, Talia Golchin and Marcus Dove.
The exhibition hosts Mark Brazier-Jones in a unique solo design show, featuring never before seen works that showcases his transformative journey into manifesting machinery. Artist, sculptor, designer and engineer, Brazier-Jones (originally trained as a ceramicist) launched his career in the emerging music video industry in the 70s/80s. Having worked with David Bowie, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Freddy Mercury, and Elton John. Immersed in the London warehouse party scene, Brazier-Jones’s move to furniture design stemmed from his period of “art welding performances” for band audiences. Following which the artist moved back to the countryside, returning to his ceramic roots, and beginning to sculpt furniture to be cast in bronze.
Alongside and in conversation with the design show, a carefully curated art group show features Mario Vélez, Talia Golchin and Marcus Dove, artists that seemingly explore the abstracted figure. The selected works converse in colour, form and medium, exploring different subjects and themes.
