Anna Lugovska
Anna Lugovska is a visual artist based between Basel and London.
Her education includes a Master’s program in Painting at the Royal College of Art in London (2026) and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in monumental painting from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv (2019), as well as training at the T. Shevchenko State Art School.
In 2023, she defended her PhD in History and Theory of Art at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture while simultaneously studying at the University of Basel in Switzerland. In 2024–25, she conducted postdoctoral research at the Swiss Institute for Advanced Studies – Collegium Helveticum, ETH Zurich.
Anna has participated in multiple international exhibitions in Switzerland, the UK, the USA, China, Montenegro, the UAE, and Ukraine. Her artworks are part of private collections worldwide. Anna’s artist residencies include: Acentric Space, Shanghai, China (2025); Atelier Mondial, Basel, Switzerland (2022); Made in Chernobyl, Chernobyl, Ukraine (2019); Art Optimism, Newburgh, NY, USA (2018); and Artists for the Museums of Montenegro, Kotor, Montenegro (2016).
